Tanks

When planning a water heater system, one important consideration is the type, size and location of the tanks required for the installation.

Tanks used in plumbing and heating may be used for either storing or heating water. They may also be needed to gather water as it expands and overfills a heating system.

Direct Brand stock tanks of various sizes, such as those from Everlast, with capacities to squeeze into smaller spaces all the way through to huge commercial areas. Most come with a lifetime warranty and are made from the highest-quality, durable materials, such as heavy duty foam insulation and stainless steel.

We offer two main types- water heater and expansion tanks.

Water Heater Tanks - A cylinder which holds the water and insulates it as heating is taking place. Water enters through the dip tube, which runs from the top to the bottom, then rises as it is heated. It is distributed through your home via the discharge pipe.

They can have electric heating elements, and are suitable for gas or solar powered water heaters.

Expansion Tanks - From manufacturers such as Amtrol, the expansion variety is a method of allowing excess pressure and heat to be absorbed within the heating system.

Direct Brand stock tanks and like-for-like replacement components. We also stock all the water heater parts you may need for servicing and repairs.

Find associated plumbing parts in our product collection too, including kits for flushing a system of debris, as well as descaling solutions.
