Throughout your plumbing installation some of the most common plumbing parts encountered will be valves. We supply all your plumbing fitting needs including the various types of valve, whether to shut water off, regulate flow or control pressure:
Gate Valves - Found in nearly all plumbing systems. The gate is simply wound open or closed to allow or prevent water to flow to a tank or another plumbing fixture. Gate valves shouldn’t be partially used to control pressure.
Ball Valves - Normally operated by a lever, a ball with a hole inside is simply turned to open or close. Ball valves are an effective way to isolate a plumbing application. Ball valves also should not be used to control pressure.
Globe Valves - Globe valves are often used to regulate flow, especially where it needs to be adjusted regularly. A stopper is raised or lowered into a baffle by a turning knob. Globe valves are useful when a plumbing line doesn’t require the full flow of water available.
Check Valves - Normally used in water storage containers or tanks, the valve prevents water travelling in the wrong direction, sometimes referred to as a backflow preventer.
Pressure Reducing Valve - Where an appliance or plumbing fixture has a specific water pressure requirement, pressure reducing valves maintain the pressure within the acceptable range, usually by the use of springs and diaphragms.
